A research of salt water filtrating by ceramics.

clay filter based on gravity that pushes the water through the material, used like a sieve. The filter is made from clay mixes with organic materials, when the clay is fired the organic material is burns away and it creates prosaic clay, the prosaic clay use as membranes. For the research I created four different blends of clay with: paper fibers, flour (the Smelly one), sawdust and sand. The sand is different, it does not fuse with the clay so small space are created between them - porosity.
